Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT)

Leeds Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) supports people experiencing common mental health problems and is run by Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust, Community Links, Touchstone and Northpoint Wellbeing.

IAPT offers group, online and one-to-one talking therapies for people with problems such as:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety & Stress
  • Panic Disorder
  • Simple Phobia
  • Health Anxiety
  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (including trichotillomania and skin picking)
  • Bulimia (mild)
  • Binge Eating Disorder
  • Generalised Anxiety Disorder
  • Social Phobia
  • Body Dysmorphic Disorder

People who are over 17 years of age and registered with a Leeds GP can self-refer through an online form. The Stress Control Course can be booked through an online bookings page.

This service is not appropriate for people who are already receiving treatment from another mental health service or who have a severe or enduring mental health problem.
