Support after Rape and Sexual Violence Leeds (SARSVL) provides a free, independent and confidential advocacy service for women (aged 16 and over) who have been affected by rape and/or sexual violence at any time in their lives.
An independent Sexual Violence Advocate (ISVA) provides expert assistance to those thinking about reporting to the police or already engaged with the criminal justice system.
The service provides emotional and practical support on a range of issues including physical and mental health, the criminal justice system and personal safety. They also support women to access financial welfare and housing services.
Advocacy is not limited to these areas and SARSVL works with survivors to identify where and how advocacy could best support them. To find out more, download their Advocacy Service information pack, refer yourself or make a referral, see their website or contact them. An interpreting service is available.
