The Silver Line is a free confidential helpline for older people, open 24 hours a day. They offer telephone friendship, advice and information, link callers to local groups and protect and support older people suffering abuse and neglect. Call 0800 470 8090 (freephone).
The Silver Line offers free group phone calls where people with shared interests can discuss topics with a small group of 6 to 8 people and also provides support and advice on issues ranging from housing and health, to finding lunch clubs and financial concerns.
