Need urgent help?

Sikh Elders Service is run by Touchstone for Sikh men and women aged 55 and over who live in Leeds. The aim is to improve the health and wellbeing of older Sikh people, by supporting them to live independently and live fulfilling lives. Older adults in the Leeds community who’ve been bereaved can get support in Punjabi. They also share NHS and government advice in English and Punjabi. You can refer yourself to this service.

The service includes one-to-one support and group activities, information, practical support and befriending.

They have peer support discussions and creative workshops at their weekly Monday groups. The weekly group provides cups of teas, hugs and chats, lunch, yoga, physical exercises, creative and fun activities to keep the brain active and relaxed.

For more information call 0113 216 3143 (Punjabi line).
