AVSED is a neighbourhood network supporting people aged 60 and over in the Aireborough area, including Guiseley, Yeadon, Rawdon and parts of Apperley Bridge. They help older people stay independent and reduce loneliness through activities, support and community services.
Support includes:
- activities including physical exercise, social activities, and health activities
- befriending by phone or at home
- support for people living with dementia and memory problems, and their carers
- digital support to build confidence using technology
- help after leaving hospital
- support to stay independent at home
- information about local services and additional support
Membership is free for people aged 60 and over living in the Aireborough area (Guiseley, Yeadon, Rawdon, and parts of Apperley Bridge).
