You are a victim of a hate crime or incident if someone has targeted a crime at you or behaved badly towards you because of your:

  • race or ethnicity
  • disability
  • religion or belief
  • sexual orientation
  • transgender identity

You can find out more about hate crime or incidents and how to report them to Leeds City Council on their website.

You can call them or use an online form.

There is also a list of Hate incident reporting centres based at Leeds libraries and community hubs, or at community organisations, on the Leeds City Council website (click the arrow next to Hate incident reporting centres for the full list).

You can also report a hate crime by calling the police on 101, but use 999 in an emergency.
