Leeds Deaf Action Forum (DEAForum) provides a platform for Deaf and hard of hearing people in Leeds to come together, share their views, and improve local services.
Meeting monthly in person, the forum offers a space where Deaf people can raise key issues, ask questions, and engage in meaningful dialogue with service providers.
All meetings are supported by British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters.
The DEAForum focuses on a wide range of topics that affect the Deaf community, including:
- access to health and social care
- adult safeguarding
- emergency services and policing
- education, employment, and community life
- equality, inclusion, and accessible communication
All Deaf and hard of hearing individuals are welcome to attend. Whether you use BSL, lip-read, or communicate in other ways, your voice matters here.
