If you or someone you know needs urgent medical care or mental health support but it’s not life-threatening, call 111.

Support offered:

  1. Medical support
  • Call 111 if you, or someone you know, needs urgent medical support but it’s not life-threatening.
  • You’ll speak to a trained adviser who will ask questions to understand your needs and direct you to the right support.

2. Mental health support

  • If you’re feeling unsafe, distressed or worried about your mental health, call 111 and choose the mental health option.
  • The phone will be answered by a call handler with mental health training who will be able to listen to your concerns and help you get the support you need.
  • They can offer general and personalised advice over the phone, signpost to support services in your area tailored to your specific needs and are also able to put you in contact with crisis services who will, where appropriate, arrange a crisis assessment and intervention to get you the support you need.
