Programme for parents-to-be to try different ways of improving their emotional wellbeing during pregnancy.

The Pregnancy in Mind programme is for people who are pregnant in their 2nd trimester (between 13 to 28 weeks). The free programme runs for 8 sessions. Mothers, fathers or partners can attend as a couple or individually. It runs in small groups of around 6 parents. The sessions are currently being held virtually.

People have lots of different reasons for attending, such as:

  • anxiety, worry or low moods which is stopping them from enjoying their pregnancy
  • worrying so much about becoming parents that they can’t enjoy their pregnancy
  • difficult early experiences affecting how they feel about being pregnant or becoming a parent
  • recent experiences of loss

You can refer yourself by calling them or ask your midwife to refer you. They will consider if the programme is the best way to support you. They will also keep in contact by phone whilst you are attending the programme and help you to find further support if needed when it ends.
