The Safe Zone is a service for young people aged 11 to 17 experiencing a crisis, on Monday, Thursday and Sunday evenings.
If you’re aged 11 to 17, Safe Zone is a place you can go that’s supportive and relaxing. It’s run by The Market Place and Leeds Survivor Led Crisis Service and is staffed by youth workers and counsellors who can offer around 45 minutes of emotional and practical support. There is also a social space where you can unwind for 20 minutes after your support session to use the facilities including games, crafts, food and drink.
Safe Zone can be accessed through a referral, this can be either be from yourself, a parent or carer, or a professional. For under 13s you will need parental or carer permission to attend Safe Zone. To make a referral, please call 0113 819 8189 or 07593 529367 between 5.00pm and 8.30pm on the day of support, with the last referral being taken at 8:30pm. Referrals operate on a first come, first served basis.
