Sikh Mental Health & Wellbeing focuses on supporting the Sikh and broader South Asian communities in enhancing mental health and wellbeing. They empower individuals to access culturally sensitive services by offering guidance in Panjabi, helping to break down barriers and promote integration, dignity, and choice.
What they do:
- Deliver awareness workshops/sessions on topics affecting the community.
- Help identify and sign post local services.
- Promote the use of self-help/natural techniques to aid wellbeing.
- Arrange community events and nature walks to encourage wellbeing combined with meditation techniques.
Regular Support Group:
This open group is designed for Panjabi men to discuss, listen, learn, and share on topics relevant to them. It is inclusive of all Panjabi men, regardless of faith or belief system. Monthly meetings focus on specific topics of importance, held at the Shine Building in Leeds (LS8 5HS). Please use the right-hand side entrance when facing the building from the road.
