TCV Hollybush is run by The Conservation Volunteers, a community volunteering charity which offers a wide range of activities supporting people to connect with nature. From Hollybush Conservation Centre in Kirkstall, TCV delivers a range of activities, courses and volunteer opportunities, including activities tailored to support health and wellbeing.
Hollybush is a great place to get outdoors, joining meaningful group activities that support physical and mental health. Some of the activities run by the centre include wildlife walks, Green Gyms, food growing, citizen science, natural crafts, practical conservation, and adult learning courses.
Once you have registered with them, Hollybush offers opportunities to attend weekly sessions on a drop in basis, or training opportunities that follow a more formal structure.
To find out more about joining an activity through Hollybush and to get you enrolled with a group, they can set up a one-to-one session to talk through the different opportunities available and support you to find the group best suited to you and your needs. To join their activities, you can either contact them directly, or have someone supporting you contact them on your behalf. As well as support to access their activities tailored towards mental health, they also provide support for people accessing their wider programme of activities.
Volunteering can help you to conserve well-loved outdoor spaces, improve your wellbeing, meet new people and enhance your employment prospects.
