Mental Health Day Opportunities

Mental Health Day Opportunities offers a service to adults who would like to improve their mental wellbeing, increase their independence and connect with their community. The service helps people identify their strengths and build on these to improve their life.

People are supported to link into their local community and meet others with similar interests. There is support for people wanting to volunteer or get back into work, and help to access services from benefits, housing and debt advice, to bereavement counselling and courses.

The service is open to adults (over 18) in the Leeds City Council area, who are having difficulties with their mental health. They can be referred by their GP, health worker or other support worker.

Find out more by contacting the team: email dayopportunities@leeds.gov.uk or call 0113 378 2822. You can also see their website www.leeds.gov.uk/mentalhealthhubs for a leaflet about the service and a referral form.

The Mental Health Homeless Team (MHHT)

MHHT provides a dedicated support service for people who are faced with homelessness and who also have mental health problems. Access is by professional referral only.
