MindWell is funded by the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) and brings together information from the NHS, Leeds City Council and the third sector into one single ‘go to’ place.
Since launching on World Mental Health Day 2016, over 500,000 people have visited our site for support. MindWell is now managed by a partnership of Volition and Leeds City Council and was developed through co-design with people who use services, carers and mental health professionals.

Getting involved with MindWell
MindWell is shaped by the people of Leeds. We work closely with individuals and organisations across the city to make sure our information is accessible, relevant, and reflects the needs of our diverse communities.
We no longer have a formal advisory board, but there are lots of ways to get involved:
- Experts by experience – people with lived experience who help us by reviewing content, shaping campaigns, and making sure our resources are inclusive and accessible.
- Clinical governance group – a group of professionals who help us keep our content accurate and up to date, and support us to develop new resources for different audiences or topics.
- Content call mailing list – MindWell supporters can join our content call mailing list to be kept up to date with opportunities to review or co-design content.
We welcome anyone interested in working with us to get in touch. Whether you have personal experience of mental health challenges, work in health and care, or simply want to support MindWell’s mission, we’d love to hear from you.
